About Reciprocity Failure
Film becomes less sensitive to light at long exposures. The reciprocity law (same EV = same exposure) fails, requiring longer times than metered. Digital sensors don't have this issue.
Note: Some films like Fuji Acros 100 II are designed for minimal reciprocity failure up to 2 minutes.
