How to Use Hyperfocal Distance
- Focus at the hyperfocal distance and everything from half that distance to infinity will be acceptably sharp
- For landscape photography, use f/8 to f/11 for best sharpness
- Smaller apertures (higher f-numbers) give shorter hyperfocal distances
- Wide-angle lenses have shorter hyperfocal distances, making it easier to get everything in focus
- Circle of Confusion: 0.03mm (affects perceived sharpness)
